Lumber Shipments for 2010 Highest Since 20072011-02-01
 

Preliminary data for 2010 indicates that shipments of dimension lumber manufactured by NELMA's members totaled 394.2 million board feet for the calendar year. This amounted to a significant increase of 27% over 2009's shipments, but just shy of 2008's total shipments of 401.6 million board feet.

The Association's Eastern White Pine producers, meanwhile, shipped 348.4 million board feet, besting both 2009 and 2008 by 17% and 7% respectively. Shipments of all lumber produced by NELMA's members for 2010 totaled 742.7 million board feet; the highest level since 2007.
