

| Marc Moore to Lead NELMAs Inspection Services Program | 2006-09-26 |
NELMA is pleased to announce the promotion of Marc Moore to the position of Director of Inspection Services for the Association, effective September 14, 2006. Marc was hired by NELMA in August of 2003, where he has held the position of Inspector - Lumber and Export Wood Packaging. His new duties will encompass the administration and management of the Association’s inspection services program, in addition to the supervision of NELMA‘s staff of eight Inspectors.
A native of Goshen, Connecticut, Marc began his career in the forest products industry with P.H. Chadbourne Co. of Bethel, Maine in 1978. His extensive work experience in the lumber business has included grading, dry kiln operation and supervision, planer mill design and start-up, and quality control supervision. Marc brings more than 21 years of lumber operation knowledge to NELMA in basically all areas of the manufacturing and quality control process.
Marc resides in Bethel, Maine with his wife, Leslie and is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys family activities, all-seasons hiking, and gardening. We look forward to more of Marc’s positive impact with NELMA as the Association moves forward to meet the needs of its members in an ever-changing forest industry climate. | |

Founded in 1933, the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturer's Association (NELMA) is one of seven lumber rules writing agencies in the U.S. accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee (ALSC) to write grade rules that are certified as conforming to the American Softwood Lumber Standard PS20.
