Building Products Digest Features NELMA & Eastern White Pine2008-09-30
 

For the 5th consecutive year, the September issue of Building Products Digest has devoted a special section of the magazine to NELMA and Eastern White Pine. Editors of the Digest worked with the Association staff and agency to develop nine pages of exclusive editorial text and advertising all about this important species to Northeastern lumber manufacturers and distributors.

Articles developed for the special section included the first in a series of environmental information from the Association, titled “Eastern White Pine: Enviro friendly, Design friendly”. And speaking of design, readers were given a textural tour of architect Jill Neubauer’s home designed with and within Eastern White Pine, titled “Living in the Trees: A Life with Natural Fortune”. Rounding out the section were two articles about the Association, with “NELMA: ISPM Inspection Expert” explaining NELMA’s ongoing inspection services program for export wood packaging. And to highlight the historic milestone being celebrated by the Association this year, the rich history of NELMA was described in a piece titled, “NELMA at 75”.
 
NELMA President Jeff Easterling stated, “Once again the Digest has provided NELMA and its members with a valuable opportunity to provide information and insight to building product distributors east of the Mississippi regarding the multifaceted aspects of Eastern White Pine and the Association .”
