A beautiful 8-foot-wide tree cuts a striking figure with a strand of lights following its spiral shape from the ground all the way to its pinnacle. Made by carpenter Joey Myers, founder of Woodlife Inc., the ‘Restore Hope Tree’ was created for Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson’s ‘Restore Hope’ initiative focusing on foster care and prison recidivism.

Harding University hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony to celebrate the project, and the tree is now on display in front of the McInteer Bible and World Missions Building. Students attending the ceremony purchased ornaments to hang on the tree, with the funds going to foster families all over the county so they can buy Christmas gifts for foster children.

Check out Woodlife’s Instagram video to see the sculpture transform from a two-dimensional silhouette to its beautiful final form.
